OBITUARY MR G. ST. J. GIFFIN 27 September 1963
A lifelong and esteemed resident, Geoffrey St John Giffin, aged 62 years, died at Orange Base Hospital on Saturday August 24, after several months’ illness.
Mr Giffin was born at Manildra, son of the late Mr and Mrs Alexander Giffin, a pioneering family of this district.
He was known throughout the west as a commission agent and farmer, and was an active member of Manildra P. & A. Association. He was a foundation member of the Bowling Club
The late Mr Giffin is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Jean Frogley, whose family were one of the oldest in the district, two sons John and Ian (Manildra) and one daughter Helen (Mrs Ray Thompson, Bass Hill, Sydney). There are also four grandchildren.
