OBITUARY MR K. L. GIFFIN 23 April 1915
On Tuesday evening last a gloom was cast over Manildra, when the news became known of the tragic death of Keith Lyle Giffin, eldest son of Mr and Mrs Alex Giffin, Ainsdale Manildra.
It appears that the young fellow was engaged in ploughing his father’s farm when the horses became unmanageable and started off, with the result that Keith was thrown between the beams of the plough.
The accident was witnessed by the unfortunate lad’s mother and sister, and when assistance arrived it was found that he was dead.
Keith, who was in his seventeenth year, was a fine specimen of an Australian youth, and his cheery affable disposition made him a favourite with all he came in contact.
Wide and genuine sympathy is expressed for his parents in their irreparable loss.
