RICHARD FROGLEY OBITUARY
Molong Express 24-6-1939

The death occurred at 8.30pm on Tuesday night of one of the most highly esteemed and best known personalities throughout the Western Districts, in the person of Mr Richard FROGLEY at the age of 69 years, the cause being an internal complaint which had caused the deceased intense suffering of late, and despite the best medical advice it was seen that nothing could be done to effect a complete cure.

The late Mr Frogley however bore his trial with great fortitude and only during the last couple of months had he been confined to his bed and kept away from his usual business activities.

The deceased was a native of the Bathurst district and came to this centre at an early age with his parents, the late Mr and Mrs John Price FROGLEY, well-known pioneers of Garra. Read the rest of this entry »

RICHARD FROGLEY OBITUARY

It is with deep regret we record the death of a very old and highly esteemed resident of the Molong district, in the person of Mr Richard Frogley snr., which occurred on Sunday evening last at the residence of his daughter, Mrs E. Burgess of  White Flat, at the ripe age of 88 years.

The deceased was born at Denchworth, Berkshire, England in 1833, later removing with other members of his family to Wantage, where his father was manager of an estate owned by Sir Wilby Rook. Read the rest of this entry »

A ceremony which was looked forward to for some time was consummated in St. Andrew’s Church, Garra, at 1pm on the 23rd April.  Rev. Canon Alldis, rector of Molong Parish, was the officiating clergyman, and the happy parties to be united in the holy bonds of matrimony, Mr B. Frogley and Miss Minnie Pittendrigh, both of Garra.  The Bridegroom is the third son of Mr. R. Frogley; the Bride, the eldest daughter of Mr G.
